Innovative Auto Products has
commissioned Rocky Mountain Corvette to build a true super
car as a test vehicle for new products. Currently IAP has
produced the highly successful removable front license
plates for the C-6, and C-6 Z06 and is currently carried
by Rocky Mountain Corvette, Zip Products, Vette
Specialties, Southern Car Parts, and numerous Chevrolet
dealers across the country. Soon to be in production are
the removable plate for the Porsche Cayman, Boxster, and
Carrera, as well as the Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra. Look
for additional performance and aesthetic enhancing items
from IAP. Steve Olsen is the creative and driving force
behind IAP, while Alex Nelsen is in charge of design,
engineering, and production.
Project Zora, also known as
Project Z, is in honor of the late Zora Duntov and is
based on the
Factory Five Racing GTM. The GTM uses a large number
of components from 1997-04 Corvette, including the LS1-7
engine. Enough so, that it truly can be the mid-engined
Corvette General Motors could have built.

Zora pushed hard for GM to
build a mid-engine Corvette, but because of bureaucratic
inertia, he was only able to build a few prototypes.
Although the mid-engine design handled and performed
better than the traditional front engine designs, it was
considered too radical for public consumption.
Project Z will take the best
of Corvette and GTM and create a unique and
distinguishable super car that will easily compete with
automobiles such as the Saleen, Ferrari, and Lamborghini
in looks, performance, and handling. Project Z will be
right at home in such company as the world's finest high
performance automobiles.
As part of the project, a
video will be produced that is expected to be
approximately 30 minutes in duration. This video is
expected to be marketed to Speed Channel as well as other
outlets. A copy of this video with additional footage of
each custom build will accompany the each new GTM
produced. Jim Janicek of
Janicek/Marino Creative is producing this exciting
video. Jim is also interior design and paint scheme
manager of Project Z.
Rocky Mountain Corvette is
bringing to bear the best skills in the industry to build
Project Z. All aspects of construction are handled by
craftsmen that have many years of combined experience.
Look forward to this amazing and exciting project to be
all the buzz!
